AFS-USA in Action: Our Response to COVID-19

AFSers are made for times like these—helping us adapt to our biggest challenge in 70 years and enabling us to become an even stronger organization!  While we continue to navigate the pandemic, we are keeping our eyes on what will be needed when it is under control.

Until then, AFS-USA is delivering virtual experiences to students, families, and educators. We’re also making the most of technology and working differently with schools—until we can again meet in person.

With your help, AFS-USA will continue to create global citizens who are building a more just and peaceful planet—and that’s just what the world needs!

Please accept our deepest gratitude for standing by our side during these most challenging times. 2020 was a difficult year for AFS-USA—and while we are not quite out of the woods just yet, we are working toward becoming an even stronger, more resilient, and more inclusive organization.

Right now—thanks to our family of supporters—we are delivering virtual learning programs, supporting a number of students on programs, and enabling hundreds more to start their applications. Every day we work toward increasing our diversity, and engaging volunteers in new ways. Stay tuned!
